What is Direct Specialty Care?

This is a membership-based model where patients pay a monthly fee to their physician. This means no insurance hassles, no hidden costs and more time with your physician.

Do you accept insurance?

While my virtual practice does not accept insurance directly, I’m happy to provide a superbill that you can submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement.

Do you accept Medicare or allow self pay for Medicare patients?

Presently, I am unable to accept Medicare patients or allow self pay services for Medicare recipients due to federal Medicare regulations. These rules prohibit Medicare beneficiaries from paying out of pocket for services covered by Medicare, even if they decide to not use their benefits.

Who do you treat?

Adults 18-64

Can I still use my insurance?

Yes. While we don’t bill insurance, you can still use your insurance for:

  • Labwork

  • Medications

  • Imaging Studies

  • Specialist visits and hospital care

What if I need labs?

We can order labs as needed. You may use your insurance at the facility or we can help you find affordable cash pay optons.

How does virtual weight loss care work?

All visits are conducted via telemedicine. You can attend appointments from the comfort of your home using your phone/tablet/computer.

Are weight loss medications prescribed?

Yes, when clinically appropriate. Medication decisions are based on medical history, goals and eligibility.

Are GLP-1 medications offered (semaglutide or tirzepatide)?

Yes, FDA approved GLP- 1 medications will be prescribed when clinically appropriate based on clinical notes and goals.

How do I communicate with my physician?

Members have secure access to their physician through the portal.

What is included in my membership?

How do I pay for my membership?

Memberships are paid upfront for the 3 months prior to your 1st visit. After that, payments continue monthly. We accept credit card, Zelle or Venmo for payment.

Can I cancel my membership?

Yes. Memberships can be cancelled with written notice within 30 days.
